SEASONING:
MIX SEASONING TOGETHER:
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. Oregano
1/4 tsp. Garlic
1/4 tsp. Black Pepper
1/8 tsp. Onion Powder
1/16 tsp. White Pepper
1/8 tsp. Paprika
1/16 tsp. Red Pepper
1/8 tsp. Thyme
Measure 1 tablespoon of the above seasoning and add 1 tablespoon black pepper and 1/2 teaspoon rosemary.
1/4 Butter
4 oz Beer
1 Tbs. Fresh Garlic
2 oz. Worchestershire Sauce
2 1/2 Tbs. Seasoning Mix From Above
2 LBS, Large Shrimp (shell on)
In a saucepan, saute shrimp with shell on in butter. Add fresh garlic, seasoning, beer and worchestershire sauce and simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Serve with Lots of Fresh French Bread to soak up all the sauce. IT'S THE BEST!!!
"MAKES 16"
1 cup Yellow Corn Meal
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
1 Egg
1/2 cup Buttermilk
Heat approximately 3 inches of pure vegetable oil to 350° F. in a deep pot.
Meanwile, in a large bowl, mix with a fork the following ingredients; corn meal, flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and baking soda. In a small bowl, beat together; egg and buttermilk until thoroughly blended. Slowly stir egg mixture into cornmeal mixture forming a smooth batter. (Batter should be thick--additional cornmeal may be added if necessary). Using a 2-oz ice cream scoop, drop balls into hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper toweling. Serve piping hot with butter, or any favorite jam or preserve.
